HEROIC won Nuke 16-12 and Train 16-13 to clinch a spot in the quarter-finals at the Ericsson Globe against Ninjas in Pyjamas.
OpTic kicked Nuke off by making it into the A site quickly, with Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer winning a 1vs2 afterplant situation to get his team ahead in the Danish derby. Doubles by Daniel "mertz" Mertz and Andreas "MODDII" Fridh with pistols on the forcebuy round tied it up. Having lost the two following rounds, OpTic were finally able to get it within one after taking the first gun round. HEROIC then took the reins of their map pick on the defense, stopping OpTic’s attacks with all players contributing to an 8-2 lead. That lead would be short-lived as OpTic charged back winning the last five rounds to make it a one round match.
The second pistol round was a back-and-forth affair on A site, but it was OpTic with the USPs that came out ahead to bring it to a tie. After having won the two anti-ecos, OpTic kept the roll going as Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke got a triple to stop HEROIC on their tracks. The following pistol buy went the way of HEROIC as they won four of five duels to stay in the match. Winning three in a row, HEROIC made it even, 11-11.

HEROIC then entered upper after one trade, forcing OpTic’s four remaining players to save for the following round. The save was a good call, as a triple by Nicklas "gade" Gade then brought it back to 12-12, but OpTic was then reset as HEROIC took B and bombed the site successfully. A huge four-kill round by mertz in a 3vs5 got HEROIC up 14-12, clearing out the path for his team to win the first map, 16-12.
HEROIC were able to stop a B push by OpTic in B Halls of Train with some aggression of their own. After a strong 4-0 start for the CTs, OpTic were able to win three rounds in a row to keep the score close before HEROIC found their footing again and took a 7-3 lead early on in the map denying OpTic over and over again. This time around, OpTic were unable to bring it back late in the first half as HEROIC took a crucial lead before the switch, 12-3.
A pistol round away from virtually winning the match, a botched play on A which saw Jakob "JUGi" Hansen come on top in a knife fight against Adam "friberg" Friberg, OpTic managed to win the round and stay alive. OpTic put up a wall of their own, winning five rounds in a row before giving one up to HEROIC. Snappi & co. then won two more, making it 10-13, before friberg and Patrick "es3tag" Hansen won a 2vs2 afterplant from heaven on A to make it 14-10.
HEROIC then lost three out of four rounds, going on eco with 15-13 on the board, but OpTic were unable to mount the comeback as three Desert Eagle kills by mertz, es3tag, and friberg cleared the way for HEROIC to take round, map, and series, to qualify for the playoffs.
